ok. I have about 6 yrs exp in installing alarms, but not DEI

I've been doing codealarm systems for a ford dealership..

so I put in this DEI clifford rs 3.5 in my buddies 2004 dodge dakota. everything works! door locks, trigger, all the start wires are connectred properly as per the manual and rechecked with the dei install wiring diagrams.. I can even remote start this thing with a piece of wire, so no transponder module.. I've gone into programming, even re-programmed the button for the remote start.. and the number of times I have to hit the button TO remote start which is now just once.

I have the toggle switched hooked up for the (-) remote start activation..

but my question is this: why wont the remote remote start the alarm?

it doesnt even TRY to go into remote start function?

do I need to hook up a bitwriter to this to make the start function work? and why would I have do to this.. (authorized dealer crap?) anyways

I would appreciate a phone call, and I could call you guys right back since I have free LD on the phone.. I just need to be walked thru this so that I can get it and stop looking like an idiot over something that wasnt discussed in the manual.

any input would be appreciated.. thanks

Are you saying it won't remote start while the alarm is activated?

What is the BLACK/ white neutral safety switch input wire connected to? If it doesn't see ground, system won't remote start. That is what that switch is connected to...One side of switch to BLACK/ white, the other side to ground.
