hi, installing a cd player in a 2001 dodge ram 1500 w/infinity sound from the factory. does this setup already use an amplifier? the wiring harness i bought for it has a amp wire on it, but i didn't connect it to the oen on the back of the cd player - and when i turn it on, i get no sound. does this wire just need to be connected?

If one of your speakers is blown or a speaker wire is grounding out for some reason then your radio will not play sound.  It is possible that one of your speakers is on its way out, so try hooking up all your speakers individually and see if you get any sound.

i may be stupid for saying this, but make sure that the fuse for the radio isnt blown, if you installed it first with out the remote turn on wire connected, it could have grounded and blown the fuse for the radio.................2001 dodge ram 1500 w/ infinity -- posted image.
