I just got back from a local stereo/alarm installer and I got a Viper 350HV system with an air horn for $400+tax.
Now, my question is, what are these DEI 513T Piezo's I keep hearing about? I wouldn't mind adding an extra siren or two (hopefully an air horn or some high pitched).
The 6 alarm stage siren plus the air horn sounds great, but I do not want to risk anything being stolen out of my truck.

Piezo's , AKA pain generator, siren's go on the inside of the vehicle. They usually aren't heard unless inside as well.

Next question:
I got the Viper 350HV for $250 and the DEI 514N installed. He charged $250 for the alarm and $150 for the siren installed.
But, when I go to a website I find the DEI 514N for like $6. Did they charge me too much?
Just wondering, I do not know much about car alarms, and I just put my trust into them.

150 Dollars for a 514N siren and installation? Anyone else want to say something here? I would but you wouldn't like it too much. Screwed, ripped off, etc...................... I will throw in the dealer cost here, around 3 bucks and it only takes around 5 minutes to install it. This is why you research before you buy.

I will talk to them tomorrow.
They're an established store, and I'm a repeat customer, so I am not sure why they would do that.

I just got off the phone with them.
They said they didn't install the DEI 514N, they installed a huge red aftermarket air horn in a huge white box. He didn't know the brand name, but said I could call back later and ask the owner, because he is the one that orders them.
Under the hood I do see a big red air horn (and not the black 514N siren), so now I don't feel like I was ripped off anymore. :)

No, that's not it..
I'd have to look at it again (it's raining hard right now so I'm not going to go check) but I believe it was more short and fat.
Has anyone had any experience with this:

How hard would it be to install?

if you know how to install a regular siren, then it shouldnt be any diff.
the air horn should be somewhat free of installation since they didnt put on the 514n
