I need to be able to convert a flashing LED to a solid LED.  I checked and the unit is sending out the timed flash, so it's not a flashing LED itself.

what can be done that won't cost a lot?  Is there somethign inlime i can use to get the desired effect?

thanks

ryan

IT would take a couple of relays probably...one to put out power when the timed circuit puts out power, and one to put out power when the timed circuit is not.  If this is for an alarm...I wouldn't do it...that little flashing light also tells you what's going on with the alarm and what zones were triggered

And by the way, on every alarm I've seen, a steady-on LED indicates that the alarm is in "valet" mode (disabled.)  Any good thief probably knows that a steady LED is an invitation to break in.

But, if you really just need to do this for some other project you have in mind......does your alarm have a "ground while armed" output?  (It's usually orange).  Buy a 12-volt LED, hook one end to constant positive, and the other to your GWA output.  And if you can't find a 12-volt LED, you can put a resistor inline with the lower-voltage ones.
