I have a 02 surburbon I added a set of Air horns. They come with their own air compressir and wiring. Using the factory wiring and a relay to bring in the air horns. Here is how I wored it and my problem:

30/40 amp bosch style relay

85-ground along woth motor for air hornds

86-B+ from factory wirig feeding the factory horn

30- 30 am fuse - B+

87 - Positive lead on air horn motor

I keep fring relays.    I even jumped the relay harnes ( with relay removed) with a paper clip crossong 30 and 87, horns sounded and paper cliped got hot as hell.

I also notice the relays have corosion on them. The harnes is mounted just above the battery.  any sussgestions????

If you jump the relay and you still have probrems it might be a faulty compresor. Because it looks like you have the horn wired the right way.  Try this out, take the wiring out and connect the compresor directly to the battery (just touch the wires against the battery terminals ) if they get hot then it's a bad compresor . If not then rewire everything .

Also move the relay from the top of your battery and put it on some other place like on the side of the engine compartment like some of the factory relays( that is what the tap on top of the relay is for).
