I am running one wire from the battery back to a distribution block then running a video switcher, 400W inverter, two LCD Monitors and  a DVD player. Should I use 4GA or 8GA wire to do this? I will not be adding anything else to this set up in the future. Thank you for your help.

the generic rule is anything over 300 watts move up to 4 awg...although there is a formula...pretty sure on this site... possibly 4awg to block then split to 8 awg...again double-check...

You can never have too big of a wire, only too small.

sure can never have to big of wire...but why have 0 awg and pay a thousand dollars or just get an 8 awg kit for exactly what you need for 30.00 bux.............?or whatever size you need there is a formula...check it find out wire size is compatible w/ your system...and purchase that size wire...if your gonna up-grade your system take that into consideration when  you buy...
