My friend told me that you could defeat an alarm by slowly jacking it off the ground and then breaking in. He said some alarms have a sensor so that it won't go off when the car is tilted because it thinks it is being towed. A convince feature so you won't have a dead battery when you pick it up at the impound. I told him that he was stupid. Is it true or not?

will he is right on one thing....they do make a sensor for when it is jacked up......the sensor is designed to trigger the alarm when it is towed....its called a motion sensor......however i have bypassed an alarm with a piece of gum and gum wrapper. first you put the gum in your mouth and start chewing. then you take the wrapper and insert it in between the flux capacitor and the muffler bearing. if by some chance you get a leak in the blinker fluid reservoir, thats where the gum that you have been chewing this whole time will come in handy........well at least thats the way i did it for the movie that i made with McGyver.
Good Luck

Your friend must have been watching the movie twins. Arnold Swartzenager disarms a car alarm by picking the ass end up and then gives that very explanation. Its BS. Kinda like in Gone in 60 seconds when they short out the alarm by shoving a screwdriver in the light socket and shorting it out hence sending a short through the parking light wire and shorting the brain out. Except on any decent alarm and most crappy ones the park light wire is fused simply for that reason. I love gulible people and hollywood.
