I have a '00 jeep Cherokee and i recently installed a cm3000 compustar 2WFM-AS alarm. The auto start fuction works but the vehichle will shut off and restart.  I belive this is because i did not hook up the status output wire. The installation manual says the following about that wire,  "This is the (-) status out wire. it provides you with a (-) 200mA output as soon as the remote start is activated this is the sequence:

       1) remote start recieves the signal to activate

       2) at that time the status becomes active providing the (-)200 mA trigger

       3) the ignition wil activate and the car will start

this wire should be connected to Transponder module or maybe a VATS module"

I didnt connect this wire because i thought it went to bypass an imoblizer any information you can provide about this wire or why the remote start will start the vehichle and then shut it off and restart would be greatly appreciated

Tye

The status wire is "Ground when running" compustar words things different, hook this up to the ground w/ run on ur bypass module.  Your car is starting up and shutting off because your transponder bypass is not turning on.
