i posted here a couple months ago about my 3.5 not working at all.try to armit-nothing.try to dis arm-nothing. so today at work ,a guy comes in with a 2.5 and hes gotthe same problem.you could be in  the car with the remote right next to the anntennae and NOTHING.the excess wire isnt bunched up nothing pinched.WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE ALARMS!!!

i installed couple of those matrix and a whole bunch of viper 791xv and havent had any problem.
some ppl say, the unit is just as best as the installer and vice versa. hey... sounds offensive, but thats reality.

I haven't had these issues either. I've installed so many DEI products it is ashame. I argee with Profuse...it sounds like an  installer issue

i have to concur... i've sold and installed lots of the Matrix 2.5 and 3.5's and i've never had ONE come back with a problem.....

installer issue my @%&,everything was done to the letter.even replaced the remote,still no go.the 2.5 problem got fixed with a matrix 3 remote(for now).ive tried everything outside of taking out all the wires.evstill nothing.en tried reprogramming with a co-workers remote.

Those remotes go bad fairly frequently.

DEI admits to remote failure if you call them. Its common. My mother in laws will not arm but will perform all other functions. How could that be an install problem? Im on my third remote just from normal usage and being aware not to drop the remote at all. We sell about 1 every other day at my work, these probs never end. At least thats the simplest of them.
Someone pass me that bottle.

The remote failure was common in the model before that.  The issue has been resolved with the new model remotes (ie. 791 and 3.5).  Since this change the company will not admit to much remote failure, because there has been very little.
