I have an Alpine 9805 HU and the radio reception is weak. I get two radio stations good and the other five radio stations that I like, have static most of the time, but sometimes on a good day, they are pretty clear. I tried to replace the antenna adapter and I tried plugging in another antenna with no change.  Originally, the factory Delco radio received those 7 stations crystal clear, so I was wondering if it was something internal that may be repairable. This deck is suppose to have an FM Sensitivity of 9.3dBf which is better than most. Anyone have any ideas?

When you tried the other antenna, did you ground it? A lot of times a bad antenna ground could cause what you are experiencing. If you still have the original delco you might want to swap that in quick and see if there is any change. Good luck,
Mike

Actually, I just plugged one in straight from the package and just held it in my hand, I didn't think about grounding it.

thats far worse... dont hold the antenna as you will dump signal with your body... plug the antenna in and leave it poking out the window... you dont need to ground it to just test signal strength although you would to eliminate potential noise problems....
