Hi, I have both 6x9 and midbass drivers. Is there a benefit to installing one and not the other?

6x9s in the rear and midbass up front?  Do you have a sub?

Well... the 6x9s would provide about as much midbass as your midbass drivers would probobly (assuming the midbass drivers are 6.5" or larger) , so if you installed both your system wouldn't be lacking midbass...

6x9s in the back might mess up your front sound stage though, if you care.

You might not need or want the 6x9's in that case.  Are you powering the midbass drivers with an amp?

Would you list what you have for speakers and what location they'll be going in?  Generally I'd recommend amping your main speakers and midbass especially if you want strong clear midbass.
