Im trying to find the tachometer wire on my 98 GTI vr6. the    list for my car only describes the 2.0 model with distributor and coil. my car uses a coilpack with 6 individual coils on it, which wire do i tap for a tach signal?

is it a golf gti if it is the only tach wir that i know of is locate on the engine speed sensor a white wire on the left side of the engine
