I am planning to install the following in my tacoma: 4x Neon lights w/light dancer control; power door locks (purchsed a kit off ebay), and a remote start/alarm system. I think that all of these would be a bit too much for the ignition wire, so I am planning to run a new wire from the battery (12 gauge?) to support the power locks and the 4x neon lights. Can anyone suggest what size fuse that I should get for the battery connection?

If I were you I would run all constent powered accsories from batterie inside to a fused power distrabution block. One fuse for each divice. Add up the amp sizes and make fuse at main batterie conection the sum of all. This way you will have enough power to run all accsories at the same time. And if some thing takes a dump or shorts it will take out the small fues in the block and every thing else keeps running.

the door shloudnt be any more then a 15 amp..

the alarm will work ok with the same.

the only problem with the battery is that you will need to make sure you keep the posts clean...

Thanks for your repsonses. I decided to run one wire from the battery (fused at 20 amp) and then i have each individual object (neons and locks) fused at the proper amount. They both connect to the wire coming from the battery. WIll this work or do I have too many fuses?

no you will never have too mant fuses....for the most part.....each item has its own fuse....you should be fine...
