ok i installed a new HU in my brothers car today.  we replaced the HU from the factory one because it did not want to play burned CD's....thats a different story..........anyway  the amp/ sub was set up to run off of the factory HU with a remote turn on from a source that was on when the car was and it was using High level inputs.  now we didnt touch any of that, just installed the HU, but now after the new HU turns on, the amp goes into protection.  even tried it with the source wires disconected and it still went into protection......the amp has never done this so i am totally clueless to whats causing this.  the amp is an earthquake power 200x  and the HU is a kenwood kdc-mp425...............the car is a 00 plymouth neon  ANY help would be great radio install now amp dosent want to work - Last Post -- posted image.

Why don't you do the install right and then see if any thing is wrong.   What i mean by doing it "right" is, you should soulder your amp turn on wire from your amp to your "amp/ or REM turn on wire" from the back of your deck, , it should be a blue/white.   And connect the rca cables to the rear RCA output on the deck.

we will be finishing the install right in a few days, its just i dont understand why the amp is going into protection when there is no signal going to the amp......it just has power........
