Powering and grounding relays

Also, how do you guys bring positive 12V to your relays and do you use 40A fuses to protect the wire going to #30? Do you run a wire all the way from the battery? Also, where do you ground? I don't want to just ground wherever I have the relays mounted because I don't want to introduce ground loops from having multiple ground points.

Door locks, powering fans, and switches.

you will need a 30 or 40 amp fuse....most items will work off 10 -20 amp fuse...

i need to correct my post.....i was typing toooooo fast...
that should read:
you will not need a 30 or 40 amp fuse....most items will work off 10 -20 amp fuse...

you can ground to any part of metal under the dash.....depending on what kind of car, you may have some empty spots in the fuse box.....if not you can use the 12v wire on the ign. harness

They are all ground to the chasis, but different ground points can have varying resistances, which can cause a ground loop. Also, varying lengths of wire can cause loops.
