i hooked everything up right and the alarm works perfect except the starter kill. i can still start the truck when it is armed and/or alarm sounding.

i followed teh diagram but the only thing i didnt know if i needed to do was install a diode between the orange wire connecting the brain and the relay. in the diagram is shows a 1N4004 Diode, but says nothing about having to wire it in.

Do you have the black and green wires off the starter kill relay hooked up?

from the ignition switch harness there is a PURPLE and YELLOW wire.

i have the GREEN wire going to the key side of the PURPLE wire and the BLACK wire going to the starter side of the PUPRLE wire.

the yellow wire from the relay is connected to the yellow wire coming FROM the ignition switch harness

u have to get your meter or test light and try one wire and then the other the wire that gives u 12 volts or lights up on your test light is the starter wire.cut wire in half and  connect the green wire to the one that going to the key cylinder and the black one to the one that going to the starter the yellow wire from the relay one should be with the yellow one coming from the alarm and the the yellow wire from the relay should go to the main igniton  wire the going to the coil pack . if its a chevy car u are doing by the sounds of the colors u are describing it should be a pink wire for the main igniton the of them are accesorys for the ac radio and such things
