The Titanic is Dayton's sub designed for home theatre.  If you want a Dayton sub for the car, they are called "Quatro" although I suppose with the correct enclosure and amp a Titanic could be used in teh car.  Go to Parts Express for the best prices.

I have heard of bottoming issues with the Titanic. I personally have never played with them, but that is mostly due to this seemingly common problem.

The problem related to putting a home speaker in a car is suspension. Home speakers are not designed to handle the vibrations and shocks a car delivers while going down the road.

For a less expensive suggestion with the same SQ as the Brahma, I suggest the Koda 10. I just recieved my personal unit today...

Here are a half a dozen comparisons to the Shive MKIII
Also, where the Brahmas are backordered, the Kodas are not. All acounts lead to this being one of the most amazing SQ drivers out there, with the ability to slap many 12 inch drivers around with regaurds to output.
I will post a review within the next 2 weeks. I like to give plenty of listening time for an accurate and thurough review. It will be used in home and in car with several enclosures and power levels.
