i have a 88 cadillac deville 4 door. when i hit the remote start the car cranks for about 2 sec then starts and dies in less then 1 sec but still cranks the hole time. can someone help

You must have missed the ignition wire... recheck all your connections

do you have a black chip in the blade of the key?????

make sure you power all of the ign. wires

its a 1988 ? I think it has V.A.T.S. . ( resistor pellet int he metal part of the key )

do a search in this site for the easy bypass to this system. in the relay section or something.
