I'm running a three amp system that needs at least 280amps,together with an ohio generator 250amp alternator and 4 optima yellowtops.Anyone knows of a better battery than optima for my use.

battcap makes a awsome 800cca batt thats half the size of a optima batt and it is sealed so you can install it any where.

Ok, from what I know which in some cases might not be a whole lot but I do know that optimas are not all they are cracked out to be... Under the hood.. yeah maybe.. but.. in the trunk it's better to have a complete gel cell battery and optima is not that.. they are half gel half acid.. so... in buying an SVR or something of that sort you are getting a complete gel battery...

However those gel batteries do not have the recovery time of an optima. you can charge optimas at high voltage for shorter times and they are back to full capacity. The gel battery doesnt have the recovery time, life cyle, or even raw power of an optima. Optimas are surpior batteries under the hood and in the trunk.
