Im loosing current and appearently it is triggering my alarm. Can some here please help me pin point how to solve this problem? I have a CRX 91 Si with an NEW Optima red top in the trunk and I just installed and Avistart 6000. I have a relay set for actuators for the power locks that have worked well for years. I did find a 0.5 VDC on the BLACK/ yelllow wire at the ignition harness and i makes a 1Vdc accros the wire and the contact at the fuse box. I don't know if this is normal. Please help me out here... Thanks for any help.

the avistart 6000 has history report by the led count the # of flashing

and folow the book

The flashes tell me there was a trigger of one of the sensors. I had a electronic tilt sensor and a "glass" sensor in the optional input (2 diodos per line for isolation) and I had a 2 stage motion sensor hooked up to the OE 2 stage shock sensor also diode isolated. I disconnect the sensors 1 by one and the alarm goes off anyway. Last night my battery droped to 12.2Vdc. I think there is either a drain in the car electric system or the alarm by being on drains exsecive current. Don't know thats why I ask for hel. O and I have read the books many many times. Thanks for your help.

Some alarms have a current sensor that sensors for any current being used eg if the door is opened and the interior light comes on it sensors the power being used and sets off the alarm. Some cars anolog clock work with an electric motor that winds the clock up every 30sec to 2min and this will set the alarm off every time the electric motor starts. If you have a digital clock this wont be your porblem.

As for your power consumption remove your fuses and put an ampmeter across where your fuse was and check for current flow. narrows down the area to look in. eg boot light not going out
