Is it safe to completely remove a stock alarm? The car being a 2004 Civic, and the alarm is the KARR 4040A. The reason why I want to remove it is to put in a higher end alarm, the Delta FM 2005. I tried to add a CrimeStopper RS900VI to the KARR 4040A, but I ran into too many problems, so I just finalized that Id put in this Delta alarm... IF its safe to remove the stock KARR alarm. Thanks in advance!

there is no reason to take out your factory alarm. in some cars it's not even possible, newer cars at least. all you have to do is disable your factory alarm. i'm not familiar with your typew of car but you usually just have to constantly ground the disarm wire. you can look up your vehicle's wiring diagram on the site though. good luck.

Yeah, Karr is aftermarket dealer add-on, not factory.

The car is a 2004 Civic, and the reason to take it out is to install a new LCD alarm.
