if i install a new head unit to my standard car, do i have to change the battery. it will be no more than 4x50w and there is 2 200w alpines in the rear and 2 135w jbls in the doors. thanks.

what type of vehicle...never heard of changing battery before...?

You should not have to change the battery. Unless you are going to be installing high wattage ampa along with it then no. I suggest that you make sure your battery is operating properly and that you alternator is properly charging the battery.
