I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500, manual locks, manual windows, no keyless, stock and plain as it comes. Im starting to install a stereo and keyless entry system into this vehicle. I have a cople questions on it. I know GM uses the ODB2 system which from what i have heard causes some major issues with installing an alarm. What do I need to fabricate, wire or purcase to get arround this problem? Secondly, I know I am going to need sylanoids, relays, etc for doing the keyless entry, does anyone have any advice on what kit to buy, or where to order the equipment to do this?

No trouble putting an alarm in as you will get your door triggers at the BCM. You are adding your own locks so that is not a problem. The radio will require an interface but I recommend you pay a pro to do the work. It will be the best money you can spend to have the job done right. Not worth saving a couple of bucks on a nice new vehicle.
