i just bought a 1.5 farad capacitor. now my question is this, what is the voltage tolerance adjustment and how do i adjust it. thanks.

where do you use it ? in the car ? there you not need an adjustment.

you don't... plug it in (connect) and forget it. the voltage tolerance is a specification from the manufacturer, and as lng as it is RATED for at least 14 volts, youre gonna be fine.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
