Just use a Ford Amp Eliminator harness Amp should be in the right rear behind the plastic panels.

The amp should be in the passenger's kick panel.  There wasn't too many rangers with the factory amp, but that is where it is.

I've personally seen it in the passengers kick panel (behind the plastic panel by the passenger's feet) and in the right rear panel behind the speaker. I would always bypass a factory amplifier when adding an aftermarked deck. In my experience, factory amps usually don't like aftermarket radios. I've seen way too many problems when you use a remote turn on for these vehicles.   Just my two cents.
