I am trying to install my crimestopper 2-way alarm into my 04 GT and having problems with the locks... Every wire diagram I can find says the locks are negative type but when I apply a ground to the lock or unlock wire nothing happens, it also says the trunk open wire is a negative type and it does pop when I do the same method to the proper wire. The diagram I have is here http://bulldogsecurity.com/New%20Wires/New%20Wires/Wires/formustang99-04.htm

Also, it says the factory disarm wire is pin 16 of the 26 pin keyless connector - in my car there isn't even a wire in pin 16 or a dark GREEN/ purple wire anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The locks in that car are positive polarity  they need 12V to operate.  If that trunk wire isnt working use the purple / YELLOW at the switch(also positive polarity).

Thanks for the help... I feel like an idiot. Oh well not the first time and likely not the last!! The locks were positive and there appears to be no factory alarm to disarm.

Ok I installed the alarm today and it worked great. But I have now realized that after 40 min my alarm activates... It tells me that a door trigger has been opened ( which it has not)  I used two diodes for the door triggers as there was 2 different trigger wires. I don't have the dome light hooked up at all. The only other trigger is the trunk but the 2 way alarm says it is one of the doors that has been opened. Any ideas???

I believe that the GEM module is " Falling Asleep " We did one and we had to put a relay on the door wire

After that worked great
