Awhile back I bought this box from Advance Auto for $20 till I could afford some "real" speakers. I know have most of what I was looking to get, but I want to reuse the 6" speakers as mids if it is possilbe. Can I take and make a crossover that will block the lows and highs to make these speakers mids? Or are they subs only by design?

actually, I used a pair of 8" subs as my mids for like 4 months before I got a new set of 6x9's, small subs make good mid level drivers but you have to get a crossover for them because some of them will respond to 200hz and lower which makes them no longer your mids. So if you get the proper frequencies of the crossover you'll wind up with very good mids using a woofer.
