heres the setup alpine deck 60x4 internal max.... premium amp in back and infinity kappas..... when i first installed these speakers they where incredably loud... now they cant go louder than a stock stero......is it possibly that the premium amp is burnt out or maybe both the premium and deck amp are burnt out...?? today i plan on bypassing the amp..... and seeing if that works but if not any suggestions short of buying a new amp??

Post up what happened when you bypassed the amp.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

i never bypassed it yet... i want to.... but im just going to run the wires... i have it setup like aftermarket deck to the factory amp to speakers... i think one of the 2 blew b/c the speakers arent playing as loud as they used to and the bass/treble response is lacking highly..

re wire the speakers directly to the deck, , that amp in there is way more than plenty for factory speakers, , it should get clearer and louder that way.
