Hey all,
Working on an '00 Hyandia Elentra with a Stock alarm/keyless entry system.
The alarm will work fine for a long-period of time, then all of a sudden just STOP. LED dosent flash any longer, no alarm, no keyless. nothing.
The remote is fine, new battery and everything.   This same problem has occured 3-4 times since the car was bought new. each time takin back to the dealer to "fix".
Any ideas how to fix this problem or what to look for?
New fuses were found for the alarm system in the cabin, there are 2 in the engine compartment. 1 10amp fuse (which is fine) and another (which looks to have never been installed)
Ideas? does it need to be reprogrammed and if so, how?
Thanks all!

each time they took it to the dealer, the dealer said they needed to re-program it. and thats all they said.
not sure why it keeps reseting itself or anything... but i'm sure this will happin again once out of warrenty... so i'd like to learn to fix this problem, or just reprogram it myself.
know what i'm sayin?

Have you been having battery trouble(car battery), slow to start, leaving the ignition on to listen to the radio ect.? If so the alarm may be going out if programming.
actually yes, 4 months back the battery went bad... and about 3 weeks ago the alternator went bad.   (all under warrenty) but the alarm was working fine during that time.    dosent really make a lot of sence to me why it wasent screwing up then... but now that the electrial system is fixed... the alarm is crapped out.
I tried to get them to tell me how to program the alarm last time... they said "we have to do it".   OK, RIIIIGHT.   damn dealers
