alright, ive searched for this, and couldnt find much of anything. im also very new to car audio..so bear with me.
i recently aquired a little speaker, its more of something like a bass speaker than a sub... its only 6" and the back of it just says 1ohm... it does however, have a magnet and assembly behind it that are almost the same size as the speaker. to be honest im not totally sure what i can do with it. im sure ill need an amp for it. its nothing special, but i would like to hook it up just to see, it might be worth a little something to hear.
ive never done any wiring of car audio, i know the general basics of audio electronics, but i dont know much about how to deal with ohms or what they mean when wiring up speakers and things.
any help would be appreciated

i'm not too well versed at this tho, but i think you'll need an amp thats 1 ohm stable that matches the power rating to run that.

That speaker must have been part of a group of speakers that were wired in series to an amp, for a total higher ohm load.  You don't want to ruin an amplifier by hooking that 1 ohm speaker to it.  Best thing to do with it- use it for a paperweight.  It'll collect your paper clips, too.    ........I'm not kidding.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
