im puttting the whelen type strobes in my 04 tahoe and have a few quest. when i did it in my xterra the wires forthe rear lights ran trhu a grommet into the body and i just followed those wires. now the prob is the wires for the tail lights hook up under the truck to connectors and dont even go into the body of the truck. is it ok if i drill a 1" hole to run all the cabling thru the body and maybe i can get a rubber grommet from a auto store, this wont mess anything up will it. or is there a better way to do it. BTW im mounting the strobe controll packs in the rear panel of the truck.
please let me know before i start to drill holes
thanks

There would be no problem with drilling that hole, but when you get a grommet, get one that is water tight to some degree. They aren't perfect, but you can get some that to a certain degree hug the wires as the go through it. No need for unwanted water getting inside your ride.

i got a grommet but ther might be some room around the wire so i was thiking about using some of the expanding foam and/or silicoln to sealit up good and tight.what you think of that??
also driling a hole in the middle of the sheet metal is not bad structualy for the truck right i think it will be fine but i ant to be shure
thanks

Using silicoln around the wires should be fine. Drilling a hole in your truck should be fine, just make sure you arn't going to drill through anything.
