97 eclipse front door speaker removal

Hi,  i am replacing my front 6.5s in my 97 eclipse with type-s all around, but i cant fig out how to remove the speakers? if i just have to pop off the grill or remove the whole door panel?, anyone know! thanks!!!

hey man, sorry to bring the"bad" news, but yes, you will need to remove the door panels. if i remember correctly, there is only 7 screws.

Yep you have to pull the door panel. Its pretty easy though. Just be careful not to break the snaps on the inside.
