I installed an alarm/remote starter on a 1989 325i and all went well with one small exception. When I start the car from the remote my brake and license plate warning light come on Neiter come on if I start from the key. I can understand the brake warning because the remote start is tied to it and I think I will probably have to diode isolate it (just a guess and I don't know where), but the license plate warning I don't get.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi

i did one long time ago and i had the same problem

i don't remember to much but i think when you conected the parkining light

the license plate light isn't come on [it's a different wire from the light switch]

try to disconect the parking light and start by remote see what hapend
