so how do you match amp power to speaker power? amd i want to add more bass with this for now but i would still like to add a 10 or 10 inch sub later, is this a good idea?

you want to get the both close in range. rms watts and max watts. lets say the amp is 200 rms and 600 max. you want to pick a sub thats around the same give or take 100 watts + or -. it all depends on what you want. if u add 10's i would put back the 6x9's for more mids and highs.owner of

If this is not enough bass for you then it might present some issues. First I think this is a great idea for you to do. A free air sub will work awesome in this application, especially when powered properly. If it is not enough however a sub in a sealed or ported box might be in order, this may cause cancellation issues with the freeair drivers however.
