Hi everyone,

I am building my first cover panel for my amp rack and box. While the majority of the cover panel is FG, I have a few areas of MDF along the straights, etc...

My question is can I primer and paint directly over the MDF or should I spread a thin layer of body filler and/or poly resin over the wood before primering. My goal is to have everything look as if it were all one piece (FG)

Thanks for your help!

I'd do a skim coat of resin then prime the wood will absorb the paint and primer and it may not match
