is there a way to get a low voltage (3.3V) to turn on a relay that would activate a 12v source?

what i want to do is have a neon hooked up to my discman (dont ask lol), i have found a good spot to solder power output to.

So it would Go low power input (batteries) -> Discman-> 3.3V out->Relay->12V + to neon

If u want me to explain better just ask

you could just get a lower voltage relay like a 5v relay, Just get one that isnt rated at a high current and has a high coil resistance, to waste less power, or use a transistor (probably a better idea when using batteries)
