Hey all. I was thinking about getting the most SPL outta my amp (600 watts) by going with an 18" Kicker Comp CVR in a massive ported box. Its a Diamond Audio D3 600.1 amp. How sh*tty is the sound gonna be? will you be able to differentiate between the notes or will i just feel gobs of bass? i wanna make sure its gonna be something im gonna like. BTW, its for daily driving.

wow, an 18 in a ported. Well, tuned properly it can hit like a mofo, I'd say probably tune it down to like 22hz or as high as 30hz. If u do it improperly it will sound like ass, but done properly like I said and u'll be blow'n our ur ear drumbs and those of the people pulled up next to you.

well, u need the ported specs of the sub, like air space and proper tuning frequency. Then use this

to calculate how long of a port u need and what size and all that. Its easy!
