also... another question....

is it ok to off center subs in a box...say a truck wedge style box....mounting the sub at the very bottom of the box so the mounting depth is larger....does it effect the sound quality? damage may occur?

nope, wont effect anything mechanical on the sub. It will only effect the point at which the wave hit w/e the box is aimed at.
