AH no, you have the Nav system, I do not.  That is a different animal that was developed by Denso and Pioneer.  I cannot help you with this head.  Sorry.  The factory subs run off two 32 watt amplifiers located in the sub enclosure under the rear package tray.  The door speakers run off their own amplifier.

dyohn,
I believe you have this car confused with the 2000-2002 Jags. All the speakers in this car are ran off of one factory amp, located in the trunk.....

I had this posted in the wrong forum..
To all that helped with my previous post "jaguar engine noise" thank, however the saga dosn't quite end.
Car = 03 Jag S type R.
I am using LOC off my stock amp, the battery, LOC,stock amp and aftermarket amp are located in the trunk.
I have found there is still engine noise, even after I short the amp with the muting plugs. I re-grounding my amp didn't help, I changed RCA cables didn't help.
I am fairly sure now the noise is coming in from the amp.
The amp is a JBL GTQ 400.
However when I used a Walkman connected to the amp instead of my stock head unit, the engine noise disappeared.
Any suggestions.

How close are your RCA's ran to your power wire?  Your amp could have a bad noise filter also.
Do it right the first time

That was the same problem I was having with my Pyramid Crystal. After shorting the amp, noise continued, replaced and re-ran RCA', still noise. Replaced the amp, noise gone. So yea, replace the amp.

The RCA are not close to the Power at all. Keep in mind the battery in this car is in the trunk, so the power is on one side and the RCA are on the oppisite side. I need to get another amp to try. I am going to try to replace the amp and see what happens.

when using the walkman was it getting power and ground from the vehicle or running off batteries?
