I just was given a kenwood ps500f amplifier, it is rated at 75w x 4 @ 4 ohms RMS I was wondering how much it would be worth to sell, or if i could hook it up in my car, a '88 honda civic or if i would need to upgrade my alternator and get a bigger/another battery to be able to run it.

5 dollars sh*t, its worth atleast 75 dollars. I dont have any pics of it but there is a pic of one on http://kenwood.vdlabs.ru/power_aplifier/kac-ps500f.html not very good, but it has the rest of the specs on it. I am only interested in selling it if i can't run it in my car, and if it is worth selling.

I loved that amp. I had an old ps100 and I wish I still had it. If it is still working then I would definately put it into my car. It would be equivalent to kenwood's excelon line.

It seems like a lot of people give amplifiers away...I just don't understand...
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

That amp isnt all that big... I think it should be fine, it shouldnt draw more than about 30 amps. what is your alternator rated at? that should give everyone a better idea as to wether or not you can run it. My inital thought is yes you can and worse case just get a bigger alternator here is one for just over $100 and will supply 100 amps, which sould run your amp. you should be able to find a better deal, this was just to give you an idea.
