I was thinkig of buying/trading for a old non-xplode sony amp. I dont know what model it is, bit its purple and it claims to putout 700W. A guy is selling it for $70, i might trade him my power acoustik 525W amp, and a little money for it. My acoutik amp has been having problems, the protect light will come on, if i leave, then come back later it works fine, but i want to get rid ofit before it dies.

i've seen nothing but great things from older sony amps!!

my dad has had one for years and we've wired it up for 1.5 ohms running 8 speakers (including 2 subs) in tri-mode and he ran it for  over a year

and my friends brother has an older 1000w amp that just pounds with his boston pro 12!!

quality amps before the xplode line came out!!  nto that xplode is crap (not all) but the old amps are amazing for putting out power under any circumstances!
