I know that running a speaker wire next to an unsheilded ac power line is a bad idea but is it that big of a deal if its dc power? im just looking for the best place to run my speaker and power lines to the rear of my car. The easiest thing to do would be to run the speaker wire right next to the power cable for my amp, power inverter, dc/dc power supply... will this give me any issues?

I had Cheetos and wine for dinenr.

I dont think that would be a problem what u should worry abot is gettin any rca wires to close to that power line.hope this helps

yeah, the rcas are on the other side of the car. but why are they any differen?

The RCA's are verry sensitive. They could pick up lots of noise. Thats why.

if you put your rca's next to your amp power + from the battery which is dc you will get interference coming through your subs or speakers due to the rca cables. That's why almost everyone will tell you to put power on one side of the car and RCA's on the other.

induced noise..........................."sensitive" rca's......your sub's will not play the freq. of induced noise.. your highs will speaker level wires do to matter, you will always run signal on 1 side and all power on the other..
