Which is better for using on a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee?  Also which is going to be easier for a person installing for the first time?

500 is easier to install and more flexible, better all around alarm. You have to wire the led and the valet button in to the 725 and it only has (-) outputs for parking lights, it also only has (-) lock outputs as well.
