One that works? There are many more factors then just the sub that go into being loud.

I HATE PIONEER!!! Best SPL sub -- posted image. hehe, ok ok, I'm just kidding, I actually like their SPL series subs, world records aint nothing to scalf at. Pioneers are good, but SPL cover ALOT of subs. Rockford has the HX2 series, Pioneer has the SPL, Earth Quake has those Magma's, Phoenix Gold has the Titainiums (excellent SQ as well), JL has the w7's, MTX has the 9500's, Kicker has the L5/L7's, Diamond Audio has the TDX series, and so on and so forth. As you can see there's a GIGANTIC list of SPL subs and all put out good SPL. My personal preference would have to be the Rockford Fosgate RFR3110 HX2 10" sub. I had two of these and they made my ear's bleed they were so damn loud. Anyway, its all about personal preference. One thing about the pioneers though. It took 9 of those SPL subs to hit, what? 172? 9.... I'm not a DbDrag fan so personally I think if you can hit 150 with 2 subs then ur bang'n.

that guy from edge audio uses 4 T3000 RF amps per sub, hes running them subs at 8000wattsrms per sub and pioneer only rates them at 5000peek, times that buy 9 subs,

If you want SPL go with a MMATS Juggernaut. Hifonics make some great amps, especially the brutus series. Also, correct me if im wrong, but doesnt Alma Gates Bronco hold the SPL record??

I was using a HiFonics (interesting, people seem to like these) BX1500D into a 2 Ohm load, I could have done a 1 Ohm load but decided that that would put too much stress on the system and didn't want to have to install a more powerful alternator.
