it's an older asian Blau model, same as the 650 but able to control a CD changer as well.... it should do as a good entry level item, especially if you say it's free

A basic cd receiver. No crossovers, simple bass and treble, single set of preamps, ect... It claims a very good onboard amp, and its about as believable as any other name brand (Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, Panasonic, Clarion, and on and on) Nothing to turn your nose up at, and you could get started on expansion with this alone. And, *bonus*, its free - good deal.
