does anybody know how much power the stock infinity system in a 2001 dodge ram quad cab has?

Im looking at a new headunit that puts out 21 watts rms 55wats peak x4 and am wondering if the new head unitisacually more powerfull?

Thanks

No, the Infinity system has more power because it has amps on the speakers.  The factory system will not be compatible with the aftermarket head unit.  Plan on completing the upgrade with new speakers and an amplifier, and bypassing or pulling out the Infinity.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Throw out the Infinity system, it belongs in the trash with the Bose crap. Make sure that the cover to the garbage can is secured properly when you are finished and make sure any of the Bose crap doesn't make a run for it when the cover is lifted. Other than that, stevdart has it nailed for you.

I have an 01 Ram and the Infinity system will make a good wheel chock when I pull it out.
Until then, can anyone help me with the wiring? I've identified all the speaker wires and switched + but what are the Y/Bk, O and Purple wires? I expected to see two R wires for power...
