I have a 2002 Dodge Durango and I want to install a underhood light.Question is where do I find out how to safely add a circuit to the Power Distribution Center in a spare fuse slot.I have the light and the harness from the light to the battery connector,I think I am missing the piece that comes from the PDC and has the battery connector on it.. Is there a book or someplace I can go for this kind of info??Thanks in advance, FatBoy

What I did on my Durango and Dakota was to get one of those add a fuse adaptors, it has twin blades just like the fuse would and has a pigtail that you can use to connect the underhod light wire, it is made to add a circuit when you do not have any spare or spaces, but just plug it into one of the open slots in the PDC, just run the hood light wire thru one of the open slots in the bottom of the PDC and check that the fuse slot you use has constant 12 volts. Hope this helps
You did not say what year your Durango was, but prior to mid year 2001 there was a connector adjacent to the drivers side hood hinge.

Thanks Gentleman, I have one of those fuse adaptors, now I need to find the connector you're talking about cause I have the rest of it. Will try dealer or junkyard in that order.Just trying to make it look right. FatBoy

I never had any luck finding the connector at the junk yards and the dealer will only sell the complete harness, thats why I just cut the end off and did as above.
