well, your really gonig to be straining an amp at that high of a load. It would really help if you told the voice coil configuration of the woofers.

well, alot of it depends on your budget. But I would HIGHLY HIGHLY RECCOMEND the HiFonics Brutus series BX1500D. It'll safely and easily put a full 1500W x 1. All you have to do is wire the voice coils together in parralel to make a 2ohm load per woofer. But even though this amp is mono, is has 2 sets of speaker terminals so you hook each woofer up to its own set. Since its a mono amp, this will automatically lin kthe subs in parralel creating a 1ohm load into the amp. I am very pleased with the performance of HifOnics. There amps put out the power they say and dont heat up at all! Plus with the blue illuminated logo, they are awesome looking. Dont beleive me, look online and read the reviews! Im on my 3rd system and im using that exact amp to power a single 12" Image Dynamics IDMAX. Hope this helps!!

I'll vouch for HiFonics too. My boys running 3 10's at 1 Ohm off a BX1500D and I'm getting a BX500D to power my 12", these amps are awsome and come in 500, 1000, and 1500 watt configurations (I think they're comming out with a 1800 and a 2000+ as well but they may be a new line completely).

Im intrested in learning how you plan to achieve a 1 ohm x2 load or a 1/2 ohm load using 2 dual 4 ohm subs. My math isnt great but that sounds like either 2ohms x 2 or 1 ohm by 1. Correct me if Im wrong but I know I am not. I havent ever heard the brutus but people on hear absolutly rave about them so they may be worth a shot. Check out Orion as well, they make several amps that can meet and exceed your power requirments. You can also look at getting a pair of kicker or Rockford amps and strap em together at a 4 ohm load.

2 1200.1 kickers would work well.  1ohm stable and amp strapping circuit

boom, boom, boom boom....

Alright here is what I am considering.   This car is going to try to remain in a 0-300 class I dont think anyone will argue with this amp...Zapco c2k-6.0?    any other suggestions. I know this is pricy but maybe I will let the car sit for a month and get a really nice amp then get one now and want to upgrade later
