I need  your help,...

I am customizing a rear view camera setup for my vehicle (2003 Silverado).  I bought a 2.5 monitor to go in the overhead console opening up front and a rear night / day camera.  The vehicle came with a factory DVD for my little tikes and I am looking for either a product or to make an automatic video switching system in such a way that when in reverse, the rear camera will come on.  I also wish for a push button switch that displays what my kids are watching for a set time via timer so I can use my remote to control the DVD player without having to arch back & see the choices.  The timer is so that it would display only long enough to find the choices up front and to turn off for driving safety.  I may also install a third camera for mounting on a trailer.

I've seen systems that is close but those are with push buttons that scrolls the video choices, but those won't work for me as I need a dedicated feed wire to automatically switch to the reverse.

Any help, I would REALLY appreciate it!!!  Thanks!!!

its a controll box that hooks to the reverse wire and when 12v is applied it cute the dvd signal and turns on the camera signal.
as for the timer you can mayber wire in a pule timer relay but ithink its ony good to 90sec. or maybe you can use the pac TR-7

Carguy411,

That's precisely what I'm looking for, this control box that switches video signals when the reverse comes on.  Would you know where I can get one?  I thought it would be an easy find but sure had a hard time looking for one on the 'net!

Appreciate the response!!!
