I have two different surfaces in my truck that I would like to paint.  I have the plastic trim pieces and the vinyl dash and other things.  What is the best paint to use for painting these?  Should I use a buildup primer prior to painting them.  If it helps I do have several air paint guns.

Eat, Sleep, and Off-Road. Everything else is meaningless details.

I painted my interior (plastic).

I used a plastic primer and then spray painted red, last 4x clear coat.

Paint it your self man. You can always resand and start over (if your going for a smooth look), however start on a small piece first.   Use Bulldog to prep your pieces. Most shops you take it to (at least around here) dont want to do it cause its time consuming so they charge you an arm and a leg to either get rid of you or to make big money.

I did my dash, door panels etc. with SEM Interior vinyl paint.  I didnt even go through too much preping either.  This stuff dries flexible and sticks great, you can see a little bit of my results in my signature banner below.
